[Position Overview]
The Global-KIC Program is an initiative designed to strengthen collaboration among Korean Ministry of Science & ICT-affiliated organizations worldwide.
KIC Washington, D.C. serves as the lead organization for the North America region, coordinating and hosting quarterly meetings that bring together regional partners to align strategies, share insights, and foster cross-border collaboration.
In addition, KIC Washington, D.C. independently leads a key Global-KIC initiative focused on monitoring and analyzing U.S. science and technology policy trends, providing strategic insights to support Korean technology startups and organizations.


[Key Responsibilities]

G-KIC Regional Hub Coordination

  • The G-KIC Program Associate will be responsible for planning and organizing quarterly G-KIC North America regional meetings.
  • This includes coordinating all necessary arrangements, requesting and compiling meeting materials, facilitating meeting operations, and documenting and summarizing outcomes.
  • The Associate will also collaborate with the G-KIC lead and the Center head to plan and execute initiatives that promote collaboration among affiliated organizations within the North America region.

U.S. Science & Technology Policy Monitoring and Analysis

  • The Associate will support the monitoring and analysis of U.S. science and technology policy trends, performing tasks as directed by the G-KIC lead.
  • This includes daily monitoring of designated information sources, identifying notable developments, reporting key updates to the G-KIC lead and designated counterparts at relevant partner organization, and conducting additional research as needed to prepare analytical reports.
  • The Associate will also be responsible for updating content on the KIC Washington DC website, focused on policy trend & analysis reports.

[Qualifications]

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s degree required; majors in public policy, science and technology, or related fields preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean required; strong Korean writing skills are essential
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to self-learn, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Time management, planning, and organization skills
  • Proactive and tenacious work ethic

[Preferred Qualifications]

  • Experience working with nonprofit, government-funded, or international organizations.
  • Experience with policy research.
