KIC Washington D.C. is seeking interns with a passion for startups to help Korean entrepreneurs and students accelerate the commercialization of high-potential technologies. As an intern, you will have exposure to various elements of startup modules such as business model canvas, business networking, customer discovery, and business verification. Our internships are a great opportunity for currently enrolled students, recent college graduates, graduate school students, and anyone serious about helping Korean tech startups.
There are several open roles for interns with varying hours and term lengths.
Tech Launch Program Administrative Intern

Job Summary
The Program Managing Intern supports the Startup Accelerating Team with day-to-day project operations, event planning and execution, and communications activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, innovation, and project management.

Job Responsibilities
- Support the team with event planning and execution, including coordinating with vendors and speakers.
- Support the team with running the acceleration program.
- Collate content for each event and ensure each event runs smoothly.
- Support team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including report generation and database maintenance.
- Support overall team with program management trackers
Additional Comments
- Given the time zone differences between Korea and Washington, D.C., interns should be reasonably flexible with their availability to accommodate assigned tasks.
- Fluency in both Korean and English is a requirement for this position.
Basic Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in both Korean and English is required.
- Must be a current undergraduate student or possess a bachelor’s degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong interest in startup, entrepreneurship, or innovation is a plus.
- High knowledge and ability to use various computer tools (G-suite, Zoom, Canva, etc.)
Compensation
This position requires a minimum of 20 hours of work per week. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $25, depending on qualifications. Daily working hours are flexible and open to discussion. Additional hours possible upon request from KIC DC.

Tech Frontier Program Internship: Administrative Assistant Intern (5)

Job Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the coordination and communication between the Korean government, universities in both Korea and the United States. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Program Manager/Associate Manager with general administrative tasks, such as organizing expense spreadsheets and monitoring participant attendance.
- Summarizing meeting notes and distributing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Collecting, organizing, and finalizing materials, reports, and resources for submission to the Korean government and business partners.
- Performing ad hoc tasks related to deliverables for KIC DC’s Tech Frontier Program.
- Assisting with program execution, including supporting the boot camp, in-person “Lessons Learned” sessions, and facilitating Office Hours between startups and mentors.
- Attending team meetings and providing translation support as needed.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders and reporting directly to the Director of Program Management.
- Drafting KIC DC’s LinkedIn posts featuring key events of the program.
- Assisting KIC DC’s clients by responding to inquiries and providing program updates.

Tech Frontier Program Internship: Interpreter Interns

Job Summary:
Interns will play an integral role in supporting several weeks of intensive Lean Startup entrepreneurial training and technology commercialization boot camps for teams of Korean entrepreneurs selected for the Tech Frontier Program this summer. This opportunity offers interns a unique chance to collaborate with top-tier entrepreneurs and startups from Korea. Interns will work closely with university-based Korean startup teams, guided by the leadership of the renowned U.S. universities.
Job Responsibilities:
The interns will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Work up to 20–25 hours for the virtual segment of the internship, and 20–25 hours for the in-person segment (Additional hours possible upon request from KIC DC)
- Provide translation between Korean and English (and vice versa)
- Provide a meeting/lesson summary to the assigned teams
- Attend internship orientation
- Attend mandatory in-person session(lessons and/or networking session, schedule to be decided)
- Work with the assigned teams outside of class to:
- Provide logistical support to the Korean entrepreneur groups and startup teams
- Offer any other necessary assistance to the Korean startup teams via Zoom or in person, as requested
- Support program logistics and coordination for:
- Engagement with the teaching team and KIC DC
- Special projects and tasks as assigned
Additional Comments:
- Interns will have access to various networks and resources for task execution.
- Interns are expected to be reasonably flexible with their availability for assigned tasks, given the time zone differences between Korea and the United States.
- Fluency in both Korean and English is required.
